Estate Planning

It is our goal to address each client's needs on a case-by-case basis.  In some instances, estate planning can be as simple as a basic will, a living will or power of attorney.  In the event trusts, LLCs or other estate planning vehicles are beneficial to the client, we offer those services as well.  Ultimately, we seek only to serve the client's needs in the most economic and effective manner possible.  Our service really depend on the nature and extent of the client's estate.  Our work frequently involves the real property, bank accounts, investment portfolios, jewelry and family heirlooms, securities, automobiles, recreational vehicles, second homes and unusual collections. These can require consultation with other counsel, financial advisors, life insurance representatives, and other professional advisors. Our services include a preparation of living wills, durable powers of attorney for healthcare, and other powers of attorney that may simplify and expedite matters during times of incapability or disability.

Probate

Probate is the administration of a person’s estate after their death. The process is typically simple and cost-effective.  Our goal is to honor the desires and intentions of the decedent, as set forth in the will, while maintaining a high-degree of respect for the person's surviving family.  If a person passes away without a will (intestate), we handle that too.  Although we make every effort to avoid controversy, in the event an estate is contested, we offer competent, practical advice and effective representation through the entire process.
